Those who best understand Phil Vassar - good-time, whirling-dervish-on-the-piano, hardest-working-man-in-country-music Phil Vassar - also understand the ongoing evolution of his mostly self-penned music. And Prayer Of A Common Man, his fourth studio album and first for Universal Records South, adds several more layers of artistic expression to his deepening repertoire. www.philvassar.com/

Dirty Sock Funtime Band

Dirty Sock Funtime Band

Saturday, February 28, 2009
Doors open at 11am show starts at 12

  • Buy Tickets
  • Standing show limited seats available

The Dirty Sock Funtime Band is the "First Real Rock Band for Kids" (FOX NEWS) and plays "The most exciting and innovative children's music EVER!" (MTV XM Radio).

Nominated BEST KID'S BAND for 2006 (TIME OUT NY KIDS), the Dirty Socks captivate kids, parents, teachers and critics alike with their catchy, imaginative tunes and their exciting, high energy, multi-genre concerts, cd's, music videos and stories.

A Dirty Sock Funtime Band concert is full of music, dance, clowning and all around excitement that breaks down all the boundaries of what music "should be." Our shows include as many as 7-10 musicians, ranging in background and style as diverse as Rock, Pop, Ska, Jazz, Hard Rock, Funk, Hip Hop, Punk, Country Bluegrass, and Dance. The kids are a part of the action throughout the entire non-stop 60-minute show, as they are led through dances and call and response sing-along jams. Clever song lyrics help kids explore their imaginations and teach them new words and phrases, including "The Clowna Nagila," "Gazoopa" and "The Mystical Science Librarian" (see study guide #1). The kids even have the chance to control the songs that are performed, when the Dirty Sock Funtime Band takes their ideas and puts them into songs right in front of their eyes and ears (see study guide #2). Featuring the hit songs from Noggin's Jack's Big Music Show, "Dino-Soaring" and "Music Everywhere". http://www.dirtysockfuntimeband.com
