National star and comedy legend Tony V will be appearing at a triple headliner event at Showcase Live at Patriot Place in Foxboro,Thursday May 17 at 8 pm. Also appearing will Las Vegas and cruise ship regular Jim Colliton along with Dan Boulger who has appeared on Comedy Central and the Craig Ferguson Show. All three comedians headline top clubs around the country and have extensive comedy credentials.
 
Tony V has performed on Comedy Central, Late Night With Conan O'Brien, A&E’s Evening at the Improv, MTV, and Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn.His additional television credits include Showtime's “The Brotherhood” as well as the CBS series “Waterfront,” along with “Rescue Me,” “Seinfeld,” “Boston Common,” two seasons of “Bobcat's Big Show” on F/X, and more. His one-man show "The Failure Artist," drew critical acclaim.He has appeared in the films State and Main, Celtic Pride, Housesitter, One Crazy Summer and Shakes the Clown as well as the independently produced by the Sea and Abracadabra.
 
Colliton is a regular at the Tropicana in Las Vegas and Atlantic City as well as working cruise ships and being one of Boston's top headliners. He has performed in clubs and colleges across the country and has been seen on Comedy Central and Comcast "Comedy Spotlight."
 
Boulger is one of the fastest rising stars on the national comedy scene and has appeared on Comedy Central, The BBC, the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival, as well as the Craig Ferguson show on CBS. He is also a past winner of the Boston Comedy Festival.

Epic in sound and kaleidoscopic in vision, the eclectic Martha's Vineyard-based six piece Entrain has been thrilling critics and fans alike since it's inception. Formed by drummer Tom Major in 1993, Entrain is also conga/djembe/trombonist Sam Holmstock, and Lead Singer/guitarist wiz Brian Alex. Joining them is bassist M'Talewa, saxophonist/percussionist Phillip Young and keyboardist Tony Falcetti. Veterans all, their collective resume includes stints with such diverse players as Bo Diddley, Carly Simon, Chuck Berry, Southside Johnny, James Mongomery, Flor De Cana, and Blood Sweet and Tears.

Entrain has recorded seven albums, all of which have been praised for their ability to shift effortlessly between musical styles - from rock, blues, calypso and ska, to zydeco, jazz and funk - often within the same song.

Stryper stands for Salvation Through Redemption Yielding Peace, Encouragement and Righteousness. The Isaiah 53:5 under their logo is the bible verse that states "by His stripes we are healed". The band earned their stripes on the Los Angeles metal club circuit and in 1984, after recruiting bass player Tim Gaines, signed with Enigma Records and released their debut mini-album, The Yellow And Black Attack (Y&BA).

Their first full-length release, Soldiers Under Command (SUC), sold over half a million units worldwide in the eighties, and stayed on Billboard's Top 200 album chart for over forty weeks. In addition to the hard-rocking tunes that Stryper's core audience has come to expect, the ballad "Honestly" from their platinum selling 1986 release To Hell With The Devil (THWTD) hit the Top-40 charts. Ferro Gaita is one of the biggest group's on the World Music scene. The name "Ferro Gaita" comes from the combination of two instruments, the ferro (piece of iron played with a knife) and the gaita (kind of accordion), used to play the Funaná, style of traditional music more played by this band. This style started in the 19th century with the arrival of the accordeon in Cape Verde, by the Portuguese priests, for the churches, but this instrument was taken over by the black and mulato slaves, that used him to sing their soul and their problems, motives that led it to be forbidden in public places until the independence in 1975.

In 2002 the band was nominated to the Kora Awards (biggest prize in African music) as best traditional band. In 2007 the band was given a cultural medal by the government and was given was honored by the minister of culture of Cape Verde, for cultural services. The band has performed on various stages all across the globe. This new American tour is in support of the release of their new album "Cidade Velha".

Today, CORDAS DO SOL represents the most vibrant band in Cape Verde music scene. From the mountain Island of Santo Anton, Cordas do Sol brings the rich traditional story-telling style and sound of the islands to North America. Cordas do Sol new album, “Lume na Lenha”, “Fire on Wood” captures the island living essence. The band was able to restore rhythms and chants long forgotten from the rural setting of Santo Anton. These trpocical rhythms paint a very colorful picture of life on the islands and represents the history of one of the largest immigrant groups in New England.

Cordas do Sol won a CAPE VERDE MUSICAL AWARDS 2011 (CVMA) for Best Band and song of the year “Meninos de rua”, “Street kids”. The group is currently on a world tour and they have been enjoying success in every major festival in Cape Verde, in Europe and in the African Diasporas. They have travel to Portugal, Spain, France, Holland, Luxemburg, China and the reception has been extraordinary. The Psychedelic Furs came together in England's emerging punk scene in 1977 initially consisting of Richard Butler (vocals), Tim Butler (bass guitar), Paul Wilson (drums), Duncan Kilburn (saxophone), and Roger Morris (guitars). By 1979, this line up had expanded to a sextet with Vince Ely replacing Wilson on drums and John Ashton being added on guitar.

The Furs found success in the U.S. with their 1981 release Talk Talk Talk, which saw the band making its debut on the US album charts. In New Zealand, meanwhile, the band became immensely popular, as Talk Talk Talk reached the top ten in the charts, the first in a string of Furs' albums to chart in the New Zealand Top 10. After spending most of the decade apart, the Butlers and Ashton reignited The Psychedelic Furs in 2000, and released a live album Beautiful Chaos: Greatest Hits Live.

These days, the band continues to tour around the world. The current Psychedelic Furs touring lineup remains Richard Butler (vocals), Tim Butler (bass), Rich Good (guitar), Mars Williams (saxophone), Amanda Kramer (keyboards), and Paul Garisto (drums).
